General Software Problems
When troubleshooting any software problem, there are a number of things you can do to try and resolve the issue. Here are some tips that may just sort out your problem!
| Tip 1 |
Always make sure your computer and software is always updated. This is because when companies find out there are errors with their hardware/software, they will sometimes give updates to address the problem. Updating Windows operating system – to get all the latest updates for your operating system you will have to download them from Microsoft, to do this make sure automatic updates are enabled.

| Tip 2 | Update all your software and hardware – if you having a problem with a particular piece of hardware of software, it is always worth seeing if there is a later driver version or software version out. To do this all you usually have to do is go to the manufacturers website, there will be a downloads section where you can select the relevant software/hardware and get the latest update. Usually software will have and update feature actually in the program – most often in the help or settings menu .

| Tip 3 | Check online – because there are so many different problems out there we are never going to be able to help you resolve them all – so another tip is to use Google to search for anyone with a similar problem (they may just have the solution).

| Tip 4 | If all else fails you can always try restoring your computer to an earlier date when the problem wasn't’t happening. To do this you will use system restore, just follow the steps through and select a date, to get this:
