Time And Date Reset After Reboot
When you set the Date and Time, it is saved live on the motherboard powered by a small battery. This is called a CMOS battery. It’s fairly small and located clearly on the motherboard. Below is a picture of the battery. They all look the same and are fairly cheap to buy. To buy a replacement, make a note of the small code printed on the top and replace.

| Step 1 |
Shut down your computer and ensure all power leads are unplugged.
| Step 2 | Remove the side case and attach an anti static wrist strap. These are essential to ensure electrostatic discharge (ESD) does not take place.
| Step 3 | Locate the small CMOS battery. These are roughly 15mm big and always silver in colour. Be careful when removing the battery as some may have a small plastic mechanism which holds and releases the battery. Remove the battery and replace.
| Step 4 | Reassemble the computer case and start up. During start up, you will get a screen asking you to set the time and date. Simply set and continue. |
