PeerBlock (Block IP Addresses)




This guide is going to show you how to install a program called PeerBlock. This program will block any Anti-P2P, Government, Spyware, Adware etc. Organizations from connecting to your computer and logging what you are doing. If you download torrents then PeerBlock is a MUST!

Step 1

The first thing you need to do is go to the PeerBlock website. You can find it either by going to http://www.peerblock.com or by clicking HERE.

Next you want to go to the Downloads section as seen below.

Here scroll down untill you see the "Get it Here" text and click the PeerBlock Installer.

When promted run the file to start the setup.

The installation wizard will the pop up. Click next to continue.

Make sure you click "I accept the agreement" on this page and click next to continue.

This screen lets you choose where to install PeerBlock. If you don't know where to put it just leave it as the default.

Additional tasks. Do you want an icon on the desktop? and do you want it to start when Windows starts. We prefer to select both.

When the installation is complete you will get the option to launch PeerBlock. Click finish when ready.

You must now configure PeerBlock. Click next to continue.

Here you can selec which IP addresses you want to block. If you are unsure just tick all. You can later go back and add/remove them if needed.

Select when you want to update. If unsire just leave as default and click next.

You will see this screen when the wizard has completed. You are now ready to start using PeerBlock! Click finish to start.

When you first start the program up, it wil update the IP block lists.

Simply x the program and it will run in the background. An icon will always be in the notification area. (Its the blue icon)
