Online Image Editor




This guide will introduce you to an online image editor. It works much alike those expensive photo editors you can buy, except its browser based and free! The guide below will introduce you to the image editor’s basic steps which include opening and saving images to your computer.

Step 1

As this is a browser based image editor, you will need to click the following link to open the website in a browser: www.sumopaint.com
Step 2

To start messing around, click the ‘Open Sumo Paint’ button. The editor will automatically open in a new browser window. Once loaded, the GUI will look similar to those you have seen before.

To import a picture from either your computer or the internet, click on file at the top left corner and select which apply. When the dialogue box appears, find your file and select open. Below I have chosen to open a picture from my computer.

Alternatively, you can start drawing from scratch on the open canvas.

Step 4

Once you’ve finished creating or editing your image, you will want to save it to your computer. As this is browser based, anything left unsaved in the window when closed will be permanently deleted.
