Installing Hardware

This guide is going to show you how to install all new hardware onto your computer.

Step 1

When you bought the hardware/computer you should have got some installation CD's with it. They will usually aways be in the box along with the instruction manual.

Step 2

First thing you want to do is place the CD into the CD drive and let it load up. You should then see a menu similar to the one below. (NOTE: all software will look slightly different, however they all do the same thing).

Step 3

You just want to make sure everything is installed, INF driver, audio, VGA (graphics) etc. Just click on the one you want to install and follow the wizard through.

Step 4 After you have installed all your hardware you should be able to use it all to full capability. If everything is working fine then you dont need to continue with this guide. If however some of your software is not working correctly/not been recognised then please go onto the next step.
Step 5

If your having problems installing your new hardware, then there is an alternative method of gaining the drivers and software. Simply go to the manufacturers website and download them there. For example... If you have a phillips SNU 5600 wireless USB, you would go to the phillips website, go to the support section and type SNU 5600 in the drivers box, it will then take you to a recent driver version where you can download it.
