Free Firewall
A firewall is software that functions as a security barrier for a network. It separates your network from the rest of the web. Installing a firewall is fairly simple. For this guide I have decided to use the Ghost Wall firewall. This is a very light program which works well on all Windows operating systems and is completely free. If you would like a different firewall then please go to our download section HERE. There you can download and install any listed firewall, all have been tested for viruses and spyware and are proven to work!
| Step 1 | Click on the following link to access the Ghost Wall Security website: GhostWall

| Step 2 | Once you’ve downloaded the file, double click the setup file. This will open the installation wizard.

| Step 3 | Accept the user agreement and chose your install destination.
After this, click install to begin the installation. When installation is complete, select the ‘Run Ghost Wall’ and click finish.

| Step 4 | The firewall program will then open and begin protecting your network. Below is a picture of the interface. Here you can also set up your own allow list if you have certain IP addresses which you need access to. To restore the program to the task bar, just minimise the window.
