Backup Windows 7
Here is a guide on how to backup all your important data in Windows 7. We will be using the built in backup and restore feature.
| Step 1 | First go to the start menu. Select maintenence and click on Backup and Restore as seen below. This will bring the next step up.

| Step 2 | Here you need to select 'Set Up Backup' on the right. |
| Step 3 | Windows 7 will then show a message about starting the backup procedure.

| Step 4 | You will now have to select the device which you want to backup onto. In this case I will be using a blank DVD. Listed here will also be any external hard drives, USB pens etc that you have connected. |
| Step 5 | Next you have to select what you want to be backed up. you can either let Windows choose (The main system files, your documents, music etc..) or you can click 'Let Me Choose' and select your own files. |
| Step 6 | this screen shows you a review of your backup. Please make sure everything here is correct. When ready to backup please click 'Save Settings and Run Backup' at the bottom of the screen. |
| Step 7 | Your backup will now start. You will get a screen showing the details.

| Step 8 | This screen is to show you backup progress. |
| Step 9 | once completed you will see the screen below. Just click close. Your backup will now be save to the selected device. To restore your files, at step 2 click on the restore section and follow the wizard. |
