Create a New Folder




This guide will show you how to create a new folder in Windows. The process for creating a folder is the same in Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Step 1

First go to where you want to create your new folder. So for example if you want to create the new folder in the My Documents folder then open that folder.

Once you have navigated to the place you want your new folder then right click in some of the white space. You will then get a menu similar to the one below, click on new and then select folder.

Once you have clicked on folder a new one will appear. Now rename this folder to whatever you want.

Now you have your new folder, simply save or drag anything you want to store in there.
